On January 16, 2019, the residents of the Grand Island Veterans home moved to the Central Nebraska Veterans home.  A large number of local Veterans and dignitaries helped greet them.  Those in attendance included Governor Pete Ricketts, Mayor Stan Clouse of Kearney, State VFW Sr Vice Commander Joe Smith, State Quartermaster John Liebsack, District 13 Commander Jim Lutz, District 13 Auxiliary President Terry Stokes, and Post 759 Commander John Kruse.  Activities were limited to greeting the members as they entered the home, as we understood how busy a day the Veterans would have getting settled in.
