More Than a Building

VFW Post 759 is a home for veterans, but our mission reaches far beyond our membership.

Throughout the year, our Post welcomes community meetings, birthdays and celebrations, wedding gatherings, veteran programs, educational events, symposiums, fundraisers and other local activities. Many are hosted on a free-will donation basis so our facilities remain accessible to the community.

We've already started investing in the future. Now we're asking our community to help us finish what we've started.

Community Room Project

A Room Built by Veterans, for the Community

The floors have been restored and the walls have been painted. Now we're working to turn our Community Room into a modern, flexible gathering space.

Our vision includes furnishings, tables and chairs, improved lighting, audio and video equipment, video-conferencing technology, speakers, presentation equipment, a movable stage and other improvements.

The finished room will support veteran programs, community organizations, meetings, educational programs, celebrations, symposiums and special events throughout the year.

Our kitchen supports far more than meals for our members. It helps us serve veterans, families, community organizations, celebrations, meetings, fundraisers and special events throughout the year.

We're working toward a safer, more functional and better-equipped kitchen that can support the growing number of activities hosted at the Post.

A dependable community kitchen helps us serve those who served while strengthening the events and programs that bring our community together.

A satirical reflection by Author/Artist Phil Fehrenbacher

Phil enlisted in the Army in 1965 where he served for years in Vietnam.  He became a graphic designer and has worked for the state of Oregon for 26 years.  He retired in 2003 and started the Cartoon "In-Country".  The cartoons reflect his experiences during his tour of duty in South Vietnam.


There is a new cartoon everyday.
