Serving Veterans  |  Building Community  |  Strengthening Post 759

VFW Post 759 will proudly participate in the Kearney Veterans Day Parade, and we invite all members to help represent our Post.

Woody has generously offered his truck to represent Post 759 and accommodate participating VFW Riders and flags. We want to make a strong showing as we honor the veterans of our community.

Come ride with the Post, help display our flags, or bring your family downtown to cheer on the parade.

From the Quartermaster

November gives us several opportunities to honor our veterans, strengthen our community, and show the pride we have in VFW Post 759.

Thank you to everyone who supported our October Poppy Day activities, helped with community events, and continues to volunteer time and effort to keep our Post moving forward.

This month includes our Veterans Day Parade, the 759 5K fundraiser, activities at the Central Nebraska Veterans Home, and opportunities for members and families to come together.

We are also working to strengthen membership, improve our facilities, support local youth, and develop new ways to serve our veterans.

I encourage you to attend our monthly meetings, share your ideas, and get involved. This is your Post, and every member makes a difference.

Supporting Our Youth

Thank you to the students, teachers, schools, and volunteers participating in this year's Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen programs.

We appreciate the educators who encouraged participation and coordinated student submissions, including the support received from Shelton schools.

These programs give young people the opportunity to reflect on patriotism, citizenship, and the meaning of service to our country.

We look forward to recognizing participating students and sharing updates as the competitions progress.

Post 759 is participating in Give Where You Live to continue improvements to our Community Room and kitchen. These projects will help us better serve veterans, members, families, and the Kearney community.

Community Room Project

We have restored the floors and painted the walls. Now we are continuing the work to transform the Community Room into a modern, flexible gathering space for veterans, organizations, families, and community events.

Community Kitchen Project

Our kitchen supports veteran events, Post activities, fundraisers, meetings, community gatherings, and meals.

Our goal is to create a safer, more functional and better-equipped kitchen that can serve Post 759 for years to come.
