Jim served 21 years as a Sonar Technician in the Navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer.  He is a Past Commander of Post 759 and Past Commander of VFW District 13.  He also serves as the VFW 2020-21 Legislative Representative to Nebraska and is the President of the USS Ticonderoga Veterans Association.
