Our commitment to service did not end when we took off the uniform. Post 759 continues serving veterans, young people and the Kearney community.
Community service is a central part of the VFW mission. Through patriotic education, volunteer service and community partnerships, Post 759 works to honor veterans, teach future generations and strengthen the community we call home.
VFW Post 759 proudly helps display American flags along the Kearney viaduct for patriotic holidays and community observances.
The display honors our nation, its veterans and those who gave their lives in service.
Post 759 helps teach grade-school students the meaning of the American flag, proper flag etiquette and the importance of treating our national colors with respect.
Schools and youth organizations may contact the Post to ask about arranging a presentation.
Post 759 hosts bingo for residents of the Central Nebraska Veterans’ Home each month.
This is an opportunity to spend time with fellow veterans and help provide an enjoyable evening for residents. Volunteers are welcome.
Post 759 welcomes opportunities to support worthwhile local projects and provide patriotic education for young people.
Schools, youth groups, civic organizations and community partners may contact us with a request or project idea. Requests are considered according to the Post’s mission, schedule and available volunteers.
