Discuss your service, current conditions and possible benefits with an accredited Veterans Service Officer before paying a private company for assistance.
Collect your DD Form 214, military and civilian medical records, VA treatment records, service documents and any supporting statements relevant to the claim.
File through an accredited representative or VA.gov. Keep copies of submitted records and respond promptly to requests, exams and VA correspondence.

The PACT Act expanded VA health care and benefits for many veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange and other toxic substances. Veterans with previously denied conditions may now have additional claim options.
